Philip Harris made his WMNR Fine Arts Radio debut on Tuesday, February 7th, 2023 at 6:00 pm in a recorded edition of Tuesday Evening Classics.

Philip moved to Connecticut from NYC in 2004 and has lived in Bridgeport since. He tell us “like a lot of folks, I started singing as a child and just didn't - or maybe couldn't - stop. I've been in school, college, university, church, and cathedral choirs. I studied piano for a spell but parted ways early because I much preferred singing.”

He tells listeners “I found WMNR by channel surfing when we first moved here from NYC and I was looking for the local classical music station. And I imagine like Michael, Mark, and Betty, I first learned about volunteer broadcasting from an on-air promo. And then in summer 2022 I attended the open house and got to chatting with Cindy and Jane, and expressed my interest in volunteering.”

He is a licensed attorney and realtor. He is currently a real estate professional located in Trumbull, CT as well as a freelance editor of academic and business writing. Philip says “as far as hobbies go, I enjoy going to the symphony (surprise?) and the opera, repurposing found items, especially furniture, and gardening. And wine!”
