WMNR Fine Arts Radio’s Corportation for Public Broadcasting Diversity Plan is available to the public.

WMNR Commission

The stations and translators of WMNR Fine Arts Radio, including the original station, WMNR in Monroe, CT, are licensed by the Federal Communications Commission to the Town of Monroe, CT. The Town is governed by 40 elected officials including a First Selectman and a Town Council. The First Selectman is Terry Rooney. The members of Town Council are: Jonathan Formichella (Chairperson), Enid Lipeles (Vice-Chairperson), Jason Maur, Sean O'Rourke, Kevin Reid, Dona-Lyn Wales, Vincent A. Duba, Cathy Kohut, and Janice Persico.

The Town Council appoints a WMNR Commission to advise the Town on the operations of the station. The WMNR Commission meets quarterly either in the Monroe Town Hall, 7 Fan Road, Monroe, CT or remotely via zoom. Its members are: Brian Quinn (Chairperson), Fred Velardi, Patricia Paniccia, Jim Vance. The WMNR Commission meetings in 2024 begin at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 5, May 7, September 3, and December 3, only on Zoom. The Zoom link is on the meeting agenda, at monroect.gov/p/wmnr-commission.

WMNR is part of the Town of Monroe, Connecticut and since the Town is neither required nor allowed to submit a Form 990 to the IRS, here is the relevant compensation information should WMNR have filed a Form 990 report:

None of WMNR’s employees received more than $100,000 of compensation. None of WMNR’s former officers, key employees, and highest compensated employees received more than $100,000 of compensation. None of WMNR’s former directors or trustees received, in the capacity as a former director or trustee of the organization, more than $10,000 of compensation from the organization. None of WMNR’s independent contractors received more than $100,000 of compensation.

Local Content and Services Report, 6.1 Telling Public Radio's Story

“The purpose of this section is to give you an opportunity to tell us and your community about the activities you have engaged in to address community needs by outlining key services provided, and the local value and impact of those services. Please report on activities that occurred in Fiscal Year 2022. Responses may be shared with Congress or the public. Grantees are required to post a copy of this report (Section 6 only) to their website no later than ten (10) days after the submission of the report to CPB. CPB recommends placing the report in an "About" or similar section on your website. This section had previously been optional. Response to this section of the SAS is now mandatory. “
